IFCA –
Immunofluorescent Comet Assay
We
have developed a novel staining approach of the comet
assay (CA),
which enables us to visualize even a single chromatin fibers and thus
allows us
to take a closer look at the origin of the comet
tail. This new method is based on the immunofluorescence detection of
the chromatin
core proteins, which are still bound to DNA after the neutral
electrophoresis.
