The Postdoc Club of the Leibniz Institute for Age Research - Fritz Lipmann Institute (FLI) invites you to a Postdoc Retreat to be held on May 06 - 07, 2010 in Jena at the Hotel Schwarzer Bär.

Peter Peters, The Netherlands Cancer Institute, Amsterdam
Peter Neubauer, TU Berlin

During this 1.5 day retreat you are going to participate in lectures, workshops and networking sessions, all aimed to support you in shaping your career. Speakers from academia, industry, consulting companies and intellectual property management agencies will talk about their career, highlight different career paths and inspire you in your career decisions.

Explore your possibilities
This session is designed to help you to explore your talents, assess your personality, understand what drives you and what do you do best. In an interactive workshop experts will support you in discovering your personality and using this knowledge for career planning.

Expand your possibilities
This workshop session helps you to expand and develop your soft skills that are important in achieving your goals. Experienced coaches are going to teach you about how to apply for jobs and manage your projects successfully.

Networking - round-table discussions
In this interactive session you can hear from ex-postdocs how they shaped their career. Talk with scientist who work now in academia, industry, at consulting companies and technology transfer and intellectual property management agencies. Discover your potential career options in the field of life sciences.
