Buildings in progress

In order to accommodate additional research laboratories and to improve communication and scientific interations, the Kuratorium has approved the construction of a new state-of-the-art research building that also allows to work with fish models, including a large animal facility. An architectural contest has been completed and a price committee has selected the best building proposals. The first prize of the architectural contest was awarded to ARCHISCAPE - office for architecture and landscape design, Dipl.Ing. Michael Mackenrodt, MSc (project leader).

The new building will generate about 2.900 square meter lab and office space. Construction of the new building is actively starting in fall 2006. Some views, models and plans of the building are depicted below.
