Current Buildings
The FLI is currently spread over several buildings:
- The laboratory building (2) houses the research groups Große, Herrlich, Morrison, Tuckermann and Wang and the facilities protein crystallography, mass spectrometry and radioactivity lab.
- The adjacent lab building (3) houses the research groups Calkhoven, Diekmann, Greulich, Heuer, Kaether, Ploubidou and Than as well as several facilities (electron microscopy, high throughput screening, FACS, confocal microscopy).
- In building (4), the group Sühnel (JenAge) is located as well as offices for research groups and the administration.
- The South wing of the lab building (5) houses the research groups Cellerino, Englert, Görlach, Platzer and Weih. The North wing has recently been removed to give space for a new FLI building (1).
- The building (6) houses the NMR facility.
- An animal facility and a fully equipped histology lab is maintained in buildings (7) and (8).
- The 'Villa' (9) contains several office and meeting rooms.
