Karl Bauer formerly worked at the Max Planck Institute for Experimental Endocrinology in Hannover where he had to retire in 2006. He continues to follow his interests in:

• the role of the TRH degrading ectoenzyme in CNS functions
• Thyroid hormone actions during pituitary development
• TRH and energy metabolism (in collaboration with Heike Heuer)
